In July 2025 I graduated with a master’s degree in physics from the University of Manchester. During my degree, I spent a year on a communications placement in the Particle Physics Department of the UK Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), working to explain their research to a range of internal and external audiences. I was also an award-winning student science journalist and Science and Technology Editor of my student paper, the Mancunion.

It involves providing a unique range of particle accelerator facilities that enable research at the forefront of human knowledge, in an environmentally responsible and sustainable way. CERN unites people from all over the world to push the frontiers of science and technology, for the benefit of all. It also trains new generations of physicists, engineers and technicians, and engages all citizens in research and in the values of science.
